The Upper Mustang trekking is popularly known as Mustang trek, a interesting tour to unspoiled Tibetan villages on the other side of Nepalese Himalaya bordering with Tibet. The main places of interest of Mustang trekking are ancient Tibetan villages, rare medieval Buddhist arts, the interesting culture and the unique beauty of the Himalayan desert. Lo- Manthang is capital of the medieval settlement of Upper Mustang lies in the remote Himalayan desert behind the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains. Untill1992 foreigners were not allowed to enter Upper Mustang and keep an appearance of a remote, strange and unusual land. this is the unique charms of the Mustang trek. Geographically the land is an extension of the Tibetan plateau, characterized by windy and arid valleys, eroded canyons and unique stratified rock formations. People in Upper Mustang are of Tibetan origin, migrated from Tibet centuries ago, and belong to Bhotias and Loba communities and practice Sakyapa school of Tibetan Buddhism. This is perhaps only the place to see Tibetan culture in completely undisturbed state the houses and monasteries have medieval look and unique local architecture. Mostly those are built with stone and sun baked mud bricks. Here mostly grow potatoes, barley and buck wheat and about 2’600 sq km in area and 6’500 population. Tiji festival is being the greatest religious and nature festival of their. This small medieval kingdom in the vast desert is ruled by a local king. A walled complex with the houses of local nobilities and monasteries will be one of the main attractions of your Mustang trek. Recently in 2007, an international team of explorers have discovered invaluable objects. In high caves requiring technical climbing they have discovered beautiful Buddhist murals, and historical objects, dating back to about 800years ago. The Mustang trekking will reward you with a rare visit to a place perfectly untouched by modernity, preserving its ancient Buddhist culture, traditions and invaluable art objects in high Himalayan desert. This program start from Pokhara to Jomsom 25 minutes short flight and hiking along the Kaligandaki gorge, the deepest in the world , heading to medieval village of Kagbeni. The trail north of Kagbeni leads to the Mustang trek. Depending on our itinerary, for the next 09 – 12 days we trek through the ancient villages of Samar, Charang and Geling before we reach the capital Lo- Manthang at 3750m. Besides Lo Manthang, there are places of great interest including the Namgyal Gompa (which also serves as a local court) and the village of Tingkar, Garfuk and Nifuk. You still find people dwelling in the caves in these villages and some caves have amazing stupas and Buddhist murals. Upper Mustang trekking is cultural and rare adventure tour. This is a fully supported camping trek, have to sleep in the tents and eat the meals prepared by our camp staff cook. The average walking distance is about 6 hour per day and you have carried just your light day pack during the trek.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu & Transfer to Hotel ( welcome dinner )

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley sightseen by professional city guide with all necessary entrance fees of monastries,stupa’s,temples ( Pasupatinath Temple,Boudhanath,Durbar square)

Day 03  : Fly or Drive to to Pokhara (820m.) Sightseeing Pokhara city,Boating Fewa Lake
Day 04: Flight or drive to  Jomsom trek to Kagbeni(2,810m.) Chusang(2,910m)
Day 05: Trek Chusang-Syangbuchen(3,800m.)
Day 06: Trek Syangbuchen trek to Charang (3,560m.)
Day 07: Trek Charang trek to Lo-mangthang(3,840m.)
Day 08: Explore Lo-mangthang village,monastries sightseeing by horse riding
Day 09: Trek Lo-mangthang- trek to Gemi (3,510m) via Dhakmar(3,820m.)
Day 10: Trek Gemi trek to Samar(3,620)
Day 11: Trek Samar trek to kagbeni-Jomsom(2,720m.)
Day 12: Fly Jomsom to Pokhara(30m.) and further fly to Kathmandu O/N Hotel
Day 13: Free day at kathmandu O/N Hotel B&B plan

Day 14 : Final Departure to Int’l airport by our office staff in private vehicle
